SRA-ANZ invites the following to its 2018 conference, Risk Prisms: Exploring the multifaceted nature of risk:
Examples of abstracts on multi-disciplinary risk research projects involving two or more disciplines are:
Examples of multi-disciplinary panels of risk scholars, practitioners, and/or regulators presenting various perspectives on a phenomenon, issue or event are:
Colleagues intending to form a multi-disciplinary panel must note the following requirements:
1. The Panel Chair must email the proposed panel title and panel members to conference@sraanz.org.nz.
2. Each presenter/ member of the panel must submit an individual abstract through the abstract
submission system. The abstract must clearly indicate the relevant panel name.
In addition to the multi-disciplinary abstracts and panels, the conference also invites abstracts on the latest research projects undertaken by risk scholars from different disciplines. Topics in risk characterisation, risk assessment/ evaluation/ measurement, risk perception, risk communication, risk management, and risk governance are welcome.
A travel scholarship of up to $500 is open to students whose primary residence is outside Sydney, NSW, Australia, to assist with travel and accommodation costs associated with presenting at this year's conference.

- abstracts on current risk research projects (which may not necessarily be multi-disciplinary in nature) on any topic in risk characterisation, risk assessment/ evaluation/ measurement, risk perception, risk communication, risk management, and risk governance
Examples of abstracts on multi-disciplinary risk research projects involving two or more disciplines are:
- food safety, transport/logistics and business scholars working on a research project on rockmelon listeria
- agriculture and public health scholars working on a research project on the microbiota of raw milk
- agriculture, business, and climate scholars working on a research project on modelling the effects of overfishing
Examples of multi-disciplinary panels of risk scholars, practitioners, and/or regulators presenting various perspectives on a phenomenon, issue or event are:
- engineering, public health and risk communication scholars presenting various risk perspectives on earthquake disasters
- cybersecurity, public health, and regulatory experts presenting risk perspectives on cyberbullying
- international business, agriculture, biosecurity, transport/logistics scholars presenting risk perspectives on Australia’s trade in agricultural products
- cybersecurity, public health, business, and regulatory experts presenting risk perspectives on gambling
